Word usage in the same language will vary based on country. This mostly applies to Spanish and English. Add an icons/tags in the UI that specify this to the user. Later, give the user the ability to display words from certain regions only.

For English speakers, add transliterations for non-Latin character languages such as Korean and Japanese.

Add references to show if a high or low-pitch pronunciation is used. Japanese online dictionary OJAD is a good reference

Show a short video clip of a native speaker using the Daily Word in a sentence or conversation
